Design Brief
The proposed mixed-use conversion of the Victorian hosiery factory will bring the building back to life, repair the Italienate facade and add a contemporary rooftop extension.
New shop units and a new ground floor elevation will establish a more sympathetic and active street frontage along Wellington Street.
The residential conversion will create twelve dwellings including duplex apartments with views across the Grade II listed New Walk; the lightweight new roof will be a modern addition to the eclectic street scene.
