The detached house is located on a steep sloping site overlooking Sutton Park, one of the largest urban parks in Europe.

The property had not been upgraded since it was built in the 1980s and required a comprehensive refurbishment as well as a two-storey extension.

The work offered the opportunity to improve the entrance into the house and open up the ground floor to enable more rooms to enjoy the stunning views of the parkland.

The front of the house has been rearranged with a new split level entrance hall and a relocated staircase; this allows views straight through the house towards Sutton Park and creates a generous sense of arrival.

The extension towards the garden contains the new kitchen and dining area on the ground floor and an enlarged bedroom and bathroom above.
